Joint Scientific Research and Innovation Platform:Oil and Gas Resources and Engineering Joint Research InstituteTo strengthen the cooperation between China Petroleum Xinjiang Oilfield Company and China University of Petroleum (Beijing), jointly promote scientific and technological research work, and serve the national energy strategic development needs, it is decided through discussion to establish the Oil and Gas Resources and Engineering Joint Research Institute of China University of Petroleum (Beijing) - Xinjiang Oilfield Company. The institute will not have a specific rank and will be affiliated with the Information and Science & Technology Management Department. In the later stage, its staffing will be gradually increased based on work needs. The main functions of the Joint Research Institute are as follows:Be responsible for the liaison and coordination of scientific and technological cooperation between China University of Petroleum (Beijing) and Xinjiang Oilfield Company. Establish long-term and stable channels for scientific research cooperation between the university and Xinjiang Oilfield Company, make full use of the research forces, experimental platforms, and on-site production conditions of both parties, and provide services for the production and personnel training of Xinjiang Oilfield Company, as well as the construction and talent cultivation of the Karamay campus.Centralize the management of scientific research cooperation projects between China University of Petroleum (Beijing) and Xinjiang Oilfield Company. The institute will integrate relevant research forces from the university, utilize the scientific research funds provided by Xinjiang Oilfield Company, target the scientific and technological challenges in oil and gas exploration and development in Xinjiang Oilfield, and carry out scientific research, technological development, and achievement transformation.Build an academic exchange platform.
