CUPK LibraryThe library of China University of Petroleum (Beijing) at Karamay Campus is located on the bank of Hongshan Lake in the University Town, Karamay, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. It has one underground floor and six floors above the ground, with a construction area of 49,600 square meters. It is an elegant (diamond-shaped), advanced design concept, modern information infrastructure, intelligent information service center.The entire library provides borrowing services in an "open shelf, full circulation, self-service" mode. The library space is equipped with 11 reading areas of various types. Among them, the first floor is a study room for postgraduate entrance examination and an electronic reading room, the second floor is an oil and gas energy reading area, a computer information technology reading area, and a periodical reading area, the third floor is a social science bookstore, the fourth floor is a natural science bookstore, and the fifth floor is temporarily a study area. The sixth floor is reserved for subsequent development.The library has more than 2,800 reading seats of various types, 18 reader study rooms, 4 large conference rooms, 4 theme activity rooms, 6 expert studios, 12 silent cabins, and 1 reading pavilion, trying to meet readers' personalized learning and research needs in the library; It has built an RFID self-service borrowing service system, self-service printing system, self-service seating system, seminar self-service reservation system, etc., to provide self-service for readers. The library's "Lakeside Book Bar" has been built to provide readers with a casual, salon-style reading space.The library's "Lakeside School" aims at readers' information literacy education and regularly holds series of lectures; the "Art and Humanities Space" provides services for improving readers' cultural and artistic accomplishment; combining local characteristics, it sets up an oil city document research room to carry out the collection, sorting and research of local documents; It also establishes an intellectual property information service center to provide services in patent services and intellectual property education, and has collaborated with the school library, based on the west, to carry out information services such as scientific and technological novelty search (agency), acceptance and citation, and consultation on specific topics.
