Major in Chemical Engineering and Technology
Chemical Engineering and Technology is one of the earliest majors of China University of Petroleum (Beijing). Its predecessor was the petroleum refining major of the Department of Chemical Engineering of Tsinghua University. After the establishment of Karamay Campus in 2015, the chemical engineering and technology major has become the key construction major of the campus, the key major of innovation and entrepreneurship in the autonomous region, the first-class undergraduate major in the autonomous region, and the pilot major of the integration of industry and education of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The major of environmental science and engineering was established in the campus engineering college in 2021 and began to recruit students.
