In September 2023, the 6th China (Karamay) International Petroleum, Natural Gas and Petrochemical Technology and Equipment Exhibition and Investment and Trade Fair was held at the Karamay Exhibition Center. More than 110 volunteers from the campus were assigned to undertake tasks such as language translation, interview recording, venue setup, and personnel guidance, embodying the spirit of "being responsible and resilient" among students of China University of Petroleum. They contributed their youthful volunteer efforts to the successful holding of the exhibition.

To ensure the smooth operation of the exhibition service work, the Communist Youth League Committee of Karamay City organized pre-job training in areas such as protocol reception, first aid and safety, and communication skills before the exhibition. During the exhibition, the campus volunteers used their knowledge, adhered to their posts, and fulfilled their responsibilities. With professional services, serious attitudes, and dedication, they received exhibition visitors, introduced urban development, accurately translated exhibition content, and answered relevant questions. They completed the relevant work with high standards, high levels, and high quality, receiving unanimous praise from the organizers and exhibition visitors.

The campus volunteers expressed that participating in the equipment exhibition allowed them to appreciate the importance of teamwork, communication and coordination, as well as interdisciplinary exchange. They also deeply recognized that they represented the image of Chinese youth and must strengthen their ideals and beliefs, cultivate patriotism, and demonstrate the responsibilities and担当 of Chinese youth in the new era.

Youth serves the country, and volunteer service showcases their style. This year, campus volunteers have successively supported major events such as the China-SCO Digital Technology Cooperation and Development Forum and the "Hello, Silk Road" International Internet Communication and Exchange Conference. In the future, the campus will continue to adhere to the talent cultivation goals of "high-level, applied, and internationalized," uphold moral education, and cultivate more newcomers of the era who are capable and ready to take on important responsibilities.
