1. 学校简介

中国石油大学（北京）一校两地（北京、克拉玛依），北京校本部坐落在北京市昌平区，克拉玛依校区位于新疆维吾尔自治区克拉玛依市。学校是教育部直属全国重点大学，先后进入国家“211工程”和“双一流”建设高校行列，建校以来，为国家培养了三十余万名优秀专门人才，被誉为“石油人才的摇篮”。2020年7月和2023年5月，习近平总书记先后给学校克拉玛依校区毕业生和中亚留学生回信，体现了对学校办学追求、成效和贡献的充分肯定。

1. Introduction to CUPK

China University of Petroleum (Beijing) currently possesses two active campuses (Beijing and Karamay). The main campus (CUP) is located in Changping District in Beijing and the Karamay campus (CUPK), a new extension of CUP is located in Karamay City, Xinjiang Uyhur Autonomous Region. CUPK is a comprehensive research university that is directly under the administration of the Ministry of Education of China. As a key university registered in China’s “Project 211” and listed in the “Double First-Class” Project, it is known as the “Cradle of Petroleum Talents” for cultivating over 300,000 excellent professionals. In July 2020 and May 2023, President Xi Jinping replied to letters from graduates who studied at CUPK and Central Asian students at CUPK, which affirms our university’s orientation and aspires us to strive for higher goals.

学校现有石油与天然气工程、地质资源与地质工程2个国家“双一流”学科，工程学、化学、地球科学、材料科学、计算机科学、环境与生态学、社会科学总论、数学8个学科领域ESI排名全球前1%，其中工程学、化学、地球科学进入1‰；现有14个一级学科博士点，22个一级学科硕士点，13个硕士专业学位类别。克拉玛依校区传承学校70余年的深厚办学积淀，立足地处石油石化产业基地的区位优势，以“高层次、应用型、国际化”为人才培养目标，现有本科专业26个、硕士研究生学科专业19个、博士研究生学科专业11个；现有在校本科生8500余人、硕士研究生700余人、博士研究生60余人。

Two disciplines of CUPK, respectively, Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering, and Geological Resources and Geological Engineering, have been listed among the national plan of Double First-class initiative disciplines development list. Eight disciplines, respectively, Engineering, Chemistry, Geoscience, Materials Science, Computer Science, Environment and Ecology, General Social Science, Mathematics, have been globally ranked top 1% on ESI. Among them, Engineering, Chemistry, and Geosciences have ranked among the top 1‰. The university currently offers 14 first-level discipline doctoral programs, 22 first-level discipline master’s programs, and 13 professional master’s degree categories. Following seventy years’ tradition of CUP and enjoying its geographical advantage of being at the oil and petrochemical industrial base, Karamay Campus is committed to cultivating high quality, application-oriented engineering talents with international horizon and competence. CUPK currently offers 26 undergraduate programs, 19 master’s programs and 11 doctoral programs, enrolling over 8,500 undergraduates, over 700 master’s students and 60 doctoral students.

校区现有教职工771人，其中专任教师593人。全职引进中科院院士1人，有国家级领军人才7人，国家级青年英才2人，国家、自治区等各类人才项目称号达到128人次。现有硕士研究生指导教师104人，博士研究生指导教师26人。

CUPK currently has 771 faculty and staff members, including 593 full-time professors and lecturers. One full-time academician from the Chinese Academy of Sciences has been recruited. There are 7 National-level Leading Talents, 2 National-level Young Talents, and a total of 128 recipients of various national and regional talent program titles. Currently, the university boasts a team of has 104 master’s degree supervisors and 26 doctoral supervisors.

校区拥有建筑面积近5万平米的“湖景”图书馆，3座学生餐厅，1座多功能的现代化体育馆及多个室外运动场所，留学生公寓配有独立卫浴间、地暖、电视、空调以及完善的家具设施，为学生提供全方位的学习和生活服务。

Karamay campus has a lake-view library of 50,000 square meters, three dining halls, one multifunctional recreational center, and multiple sports fields. The apartment building for the international students is equipped with twin-rooms with bath, floor heating, TV, AC, and furniture.

校区所处的克拉玛依市是世界著名的石油城，是一座经济繁荣、安全宜居的现代化新型工业城市，环境优美，交通便利。克拉玛依市旅游资源丰富，拥有“中国最瑰丽的雅丹”和“中国最值得外国人去的50个地方之一”——世界魔鬼城、“中国最美公路”——独库公路、世界地质奇观——黑油山等景点，让人们在饱览戈壁美景、石油工业奇观之余，感受着现代城市迷人的魅力。

Karamay City, where the campus is located, is a world-famous oil city with beautiful surroundings and convenient transportation and is a modern industrial city with a booming economy and stable society. Karamay is a popular tourist destination, featured by the splendid Yardang Landform National Geopark, the World Devil City rated as one of the top 50 places for foreigners to visit in China, the Duku Highway named as the most beautiful highway in China, and the Black Oil Mountain, a world geologic treasure, etc. Visitors are enchanted by the beauty of Gobi deserts, awed by the splendor of the oil industry, and mesmerized by the charm of the modern city.

2.招生专业

校区面向各国招收来华留学博士研究生，开设招生专业、授课语言及学制见下表：

CUPK admits international graduate students for doctoral degree programs from various countries. The available majors, language of instruction, and duration of study are listed in the table below:  

3. 申请条件

（1）非中国籍公民，身心健康，能满足在校正常学习和生活。

（2）年龄不超过40岁且具有硕士及以上学历。

（3）汉语授课要求为HSK 五级≥180分，英语授课的专业要求母语/官方语言为英语，如果申请人来自母语/官方语言为非英语的国家，须达到雅思6.5、托福80或托福 Essentials≥9分(DI Code: C806)考试成绩，或提供两年以上英文授课证明材料。

（4）对华态度友好，遵纪守法，无犯罪记录。

3. Admission Eligibility and Qualifications

(1) Applicants should be non-Chinese citizens who are physically and mentally healthy and are able to manage their study and lives at our university.

(2) Applicants’ age should not exceed 40 with a master’s degree or above.

(3) For programs taught in Chinese, applicants are required to have a minimum HSK Level 5 score of 180. For programs taught in English, the applicant’s native language or the official language of their country should be English. If the applicant is from a country where English is not the native/official language, they must provide an IELTS score of 6.5, a TOEFL score of 80, or a TOELF Essentials score of at least 9 (DI Code: C806). Alternatively, they may submit proof of having completed two or more years of education in English.

(4) Applicants should be friendly to China, law-abiding, and have no criminal record.

申请人登录中国石油大学（北京）克拉玛依校区来华留学生在线申请系统（http://cupk.chiwest.cn），注册账号后在线提交申请。

※一个电子邮件地址只能注册一个申请账号，不接受纸质材料或邮件申请。

4. Application

（1）Online Application

Applicants can log in the Online Application System for International Students of China University of Petroleum-Beijing at Karamay (http://cupk.chiwest.cn), and register an account, fill in the online forms, and submit the applications.

※One email address can only be used to register one application account. Paper applications or applications sent via email will not be accepted.

③ 硕士毕业证原件和中/英文翻译件（如果尚未毕业，请提供“预毕业证明”，并在入学时提交硕士毕业证原件和中/英文翻译件）

④ 硕士成绩单原件和中/英文翻译件

⑤ 语言水平证明（HSK成绩单、其他语言水平证明等）

⑥ 无犯罪记录证明

⑦ 两封推荐信（推荐人要求副教授以上职称）

⑧ 导师接收函（系统下载，填写个人信息后，邮件联系导师填写接收意见，同时将发送给导师的邮件抄送留学生管理办公室邮箱international-karamay@cupk.edu.cn,如暂无意向导师，申请时可暂不提交导师接收函）

※申请材料为翻译件的需经公证后提交。

※资信证明：自费博士研究生的资信证明总额度需在60000元。要求其本人账户存款存入相应金额至少1个月以上，如是他人账户，需提供申请人与账户所有人关系证明，经当地公证后到当地中国驻外使领馆进行认证后同时提交。

（2）The Applicants are required to submit the following materials through online application process:

① Photocopy of your Passport home page

② Scanned copies of all China visa pages (For those with a history of travel and residence in China, scanned copies of all visa pages and entry and exit records are required)

③ Master’s degree Diploma and a translated copy in Chinese or English. (If you have not graduated yet, please get in touch with your current school to provide a “certificate” of expected graduation and hand in the Master’s Degree Diploma and the translated copy in Chinese or English at your enrollment to the university.)

④ Official master’s degree transcripts and translated copies in Chinese or English

⑤ Language Proficiency Proof (e.g., HSK Level 5 score report, IELTS or TOEFL score report, etc.)

⑥ Non-Criminal Record Certificate

⑦ Two letters of recommendation. (The recommenders should hold a professional title of associate professor or higher.)

⑧ Supervisor Acceptance Letter. (download the form from the system, fill in personal information, and then contact the supervisor via e-mail to complete the acceptance section, Simultaneously, copy the email to the International Students Office at international-karamay@cupk.edu.cn. If there is no intended supervisor at the time of application, the supervisor acceptance letter may be submitted later.

※Translated application materials shall be notarized before submission.

※ Financial support statement: for self-funded doctoral students, they need to provide bank statement/bank saving statement within the last one month with a closing balance that demonstrates the guaranteed amount of over 60,000 RMB. If the funds are in someone else’s account, the applicant must provide proof of their relationship with the account holder. This document must be notarized locally and authenticated by the Chinese Embassy or Consulate in the applicant’s country, and both documents must be submitted together.

（3）面试

通过材料初审的申请者进入面试环节。面试时间视报名情况分批次进行，各批次具体面试时间、方式以邮件形式通知。

（3）Interview

Applicants who pass the initial review of application materials will enter the interview. The specific schedule and format of interview will be notified via email.

  ※ Application deadline: May 30, 2025.

5.录取及报到

我校根据面试结果，综合考虑申请者情况，择优录取。被录取考生持录取通知书及所有申请材料原件报到，报到日期以录取通知书为准。

5. Admission and Registration

Students are admitted based on their performance in interviews and comprehensive evaluation. The admitted students shall register with the originals of Letter of Acceptance and all other application documents. The registration date is explicitly indicated in the Letter of Acceptance.

6. 收费标准

（1）报名费：400元人民币。

（2）学费：35000元人民币/年。

（3）住宿费：9000元人民币/年/人（双人间、独立卫浴）。

（4）综合医疗保险费：800元人民币/年。

6. Fees

International students should pay the following fees:

(1) Application fee: 400 RMB.

(2) Tuition: 35,000 RMB/year

(3) Accommodation: 9000 RMB/year/person (Twin room with bath).

(4) Insurance: 800 RMB/year.

7.奖学金

自治区人民政府奖学金：免交学费、住宿费（双人间）、综合医疗保险费，提供生活补助费人民币1500元/月（按10个月发放）。

符合条件且有意申请奖学金者，在申请系统下载并以中文或英文填写《来华留学生奖学金申请表》。

※奖学金实行动态管理，年度评审合格方可获得下一年度奖学金。

7. Scholarship

Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Government Scholarship: Tuition fees, accommodation fees (Twin room), and comprehensive medical insurance fees are waived. A living allowance of RMB 1,500 per month will be provided (paid over 10 months).

Degree-seeking students are eligible to apply for the scholarship，and those who meet the requirements and intend to apply for a scholarship can fill in “The Application Form for Admission (Scholarship) for International Students” in Chinese or English.

※ Scholarship is subject to strict evaluation. Only those who pass the year-end evaluation can be awarded the following year’s scholarship.
